Sanju  (film) sanju  is an upcoming Indian  biographical  film based on the life of Indian actor  Sanjay Dutt , directed and written by  Rajkuma r Hirani and produced by  Vidhu Vinod Chopra . [2] [3]  The film stars  Ranbir Kapoor  as  Sanjay Dutt  in various stages of his life. [4]  The film is set to be released on June 29, 2018. [5]   [6]  A short official teaser of the film was released on 24th April 2018. It features  Alia Bhatt  and  Vicky Kaushal  in lead roles. [2] [3]  The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel  Calling Sehmat , about an Indian spy married to a Pakistani man during the  Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 . Principal photography  of the film began on July 2017 in  Mumbai  and the shooting was wrapped up on 27 October 2017. [5]  The film is scheduled for release on 11 May 2018. [1]   Raazi  was shot across several locations including  Nabha ,  Malerkotla  and  Doodhpathri . [6]  The first poster of the film was released on 9 April 2018 [7]  through the official  Twitter  handle of the film while the trailer of the film was launched on 10 April 2018.
